How much damage do you do?

I would count that +115 as giving an extra 115 damage per strike. On a 10 round duel, that is 1150 damage points.  if 14% of the total damage you do is greater than 1150, keep the current refinement.

Also, I just found a different one without a refinement that is +112 Stamina, +346 Finesse, -341 Strength (for a total of +117) should I swap those?

I never, ever, ever swap to an item without a refinement. Do the refinement within your inventory, then you can compare two fully juiced up items.

Should I replace my current belt (325 Strength, 265 Charisma, 466 Finesse + a 20% chance to reduce the damage dealt by your opponent by 40% refinement) with a -259 Strength, +157 Charisma, +193 Finesse (Total of +91) + a 15% chance to dodge an actual hit refinement?

The epic applied lube is the best refinement you can get on a belt. And you are gaining 91 skills as well.

Is my new gadget that gives me +657 Strength, +538 Stamina, +68 Damage, -352 Charisma, -767 Finesse, and has a 13% increase missle damage, for a total of +144 stats (compared to my current gadget) although my current gadget which has a 30% chance to deal out a total damage over 4 rounds in the amount of 45 % of the triggering hit? (I know charisma and finesse are the most important but there is always the washing machine.)

Please post questions like that in this topic, 20886432.

The refine is better on your current piece.

(It occurs to me that we don't have a definitive post anywhere about which refines are better.  We DO have a new post in the FAQ about what they are at https://forum.uk.big...ide/?p=17812. But the FAQ is explicitly NOT a strategy guide. Perhaps someone would like to take a crack at which enhancements are better than the other, and why.)

I think the only post I could find was from the UK forum : https://forum.uk.big...age-1#entry2490

I missed that one, my search fu is apparently weak.

Some of those recommendations I think are rather dated... but better than nothing.

I copied the link when I saw it a while back. But it's also on a certain UK studio's website, which was mentioned in the bragging rights post on the UK forum. So it wasn't too difficult to find again.

I wonder if Mountbara has an opinion, she could post something in her gaming tips.

Should I replace my old piercing with my new one which gives: +280 Strength, +219 Stamina, +349 Finesse, -741 Charisma (Total of: +107) And a refinement that decreases my opponents dodging chance by 10 percent? (the old one has 7%)

I can throw it in the wash to try to get some of the strength and stamina into finesse and charisma.

They usually say the importance of ability is finesse, charisma, stamina and strength, so I think you can change only if you had enough charisma with your other clothing.

For me it could be a good choice to wait a moment and use washing machine on clothing who have a lot of strength like this.

In my opinion there is no need to change clothing immediately you got it (sometimes you got better one on the next days too):

if you change clothing often you waste a lot of refinement and washing machines.

Yes, if the refinement is better on the new one, go ahead and replace it. If you have a free wash, you can also wash it once.

Please post such questions as replies to this topic. These are properly discussion questions, not FAQ items. Thank you.

As to your question: You have a washing machine. Frankly, all the information about which skill gets which plusses is wasted effort, only the +107 number matters. Use the washing machine to fix your skill curve if you need to.

With that in mind, your question becomes: "Should I take +107 more skills and a 3% better refinement, or use the old piece which is inferior in every way?"

Put that way, the question answers itself.

Congratulations on getting a much superior, new piece of gear.  ;)

From Mountbara's excellent topic on gameplay hints and tips found at https://forum.us.big...en-gems/?p=3497

today's post will be a collection of other posts with tips or hints:

[..snip]

using the washing machine effectively

http://forum.us.bigb...ashing-machine/

The washing machine is one of the more complicated tools to use correctly. The above post might help. (I wrote a lot of it, I think it is excellent. LOL) But long story short... many players try to adjust individual pieces of equipment, using the washing machine. That is not optimal. Use the washing machine to adjust your avatar's skill curve after changing your equipment

In general, Mountbara's pointers to helpful topics is great.

Foot perfume just smells like somebody died, lol. I'd take an epic skill enhance 1st if new gear is getting  to be too high a skill jump to ignore and then keep rolling boots/shoes every day until a decent salt comes around

Is my new Necklace that gives -317 Strength, +459 Charisma, +110 Finesse, -145 Stamina (+107 Total) with a 19% chance that my critical hit causes 50% more damage better than my old one that had 25% chance to double the crit?

I can never decide :(
