Ok, I guess I can get used to the new message system BUT I can't see any way to UNHIDE a conversation.

 

Also, there's NO confirmation when you hide a conversation so it's much too easy to mess up.

 

If I'm missing something here, I'd love for someone to clarify this for me.

No way to unhide it, except to send that person another message. Not sure if it continues on from last spot or not

Well, it seems there are some more issues with the new Mail system than we first thought. I just submitted a support ticket on what we found and this is what I told them:

 

 

1. STUDIO MAIL is broken. 

 

2. There is no way to UN-HIDE a conversation

 

3. The SENT MAIL has been removed and should be restored since this is a very useful feature.

 

4. We MUST have the ability to read the voucher descriptions in the voucher Tab. 

 

5. The ESC key no longer closes the Mail screen.

 

 

If any of you can think of anything else, I'd suggest contacting BBE Support with your concerns.

Response to the above post...

 

1)sent a test studio mail, seeing if I can confirm, but I believe you about it.

 

2) Sending a new message to a person you had a convo with before does not restore all previous messages?

 

3) Sent mail is not lost. I have conversations in my list that only have my sent message from before.  Anything sent is listed on the right.

 

4) Agree the full description of the voucher must be listed in the message.  To include energy received AND what forum contest prize is being awarded.

 

5) I always used the close button in the top right.  I did not know that ESC would work.

 

I agree, those that chatted multiple topics with the same person might now be confused by that everything to a player is now combined.  While the new system mimics my real life phone, it will take some adjustment, I would prefer a way to chat with the same person over multiple topics, separated with each topic.  This includes on my RL phone....

It does continue from the last spot. I think given that functionality, there is little need for an explicit unhide interface, but one may be on the way.

Interesting change.   I had a member delete last night.  His conversations to me are all deleted but his message to the studio is still intact.

It is confirmed that the unhide function is working as intended. If you wish to unhide a conversation with someone, send them another message.

Mail sound is also that should be worked on. I miss hearing when I get message so I know I get a studio mail or conversation xD

If you get a message or send a message, you don't want to answer like very late back, right? lol

(especially if it's a play lol)

Sorry, I do not agree. If you have an unhide button, you have to have an otherwise totally useless interface listing all hidden conversations. If you want to re-read a conversation, simple economy suggests you should not hide it.

 

If you get a message or send a message, you don't want to answer like very late back, right? lol

I know for a fact that research is being done on this subject. Hopefully it will be addressed soon.

this unhide button can be shown if you start write the letter

or at the profile

or hidden can be found with the search you have in the conversations

...

Reasons to unhide:

 

1. You've hidden a conversation by accident, expecting an unhide option. I guess I could send a new message, but what about the previous one?

2. You actually want to block the idiot. I've got a conversation which I should immediately toss into the Sexual Harassment pile.

3. Your message count counts hidden conversations.

Simply sending a new message to the person restores all previous messages too.
