#9266 Conventions instead of Silks

Posted by wuffy on 05 June 2020 - 09:34 AM

Only result I can see here is a 1st Place Tie and rewards for EVERYONE.   How can the temple change mid-week, keep the points from the Cons that you had done and then start counting single points for silks?

Wow, epic fail.

#7550 Playata Devs: You are risking a player revolt - too many convention temples

Posted by mountbara on 13 June 2019 - 05:00 PM

If it's truly random which temples come up, I can live with that. The problem is, you have changed temples in the past, this indicates strongly that they are *not* random at all. I strongly suggest you have a convention temple no more than once every 8 weeks, which is still higher than random, but not enough to upset you player base the way that you are doing.

This is meant in love, I enjoy the game, I understand you need diamond (and donut) buyers to fund the game, but seriously, enough is enough.

#7422 Duel Replay, both attack and defense

Posted by Tabithia on 23 May 2019 - 11:35 PM

The studio fight history lists both attack and defense.   Or at least most of them.  Some appear to drop out or get suffled out of order or something.  Anyway....

The same for duels would be nice.  There are many duels that I start and lose that I would love to see the replay for.  I know I could just not skip them to begin with, but I'm more likely to spend more time in game watching a replay I want to see then watching the duel the first time.

#9048 Enough is Enough

Posted by wuffy on 23 April 2020 - 02:33 PM

Enough already with the Conventions. After having us suffer through a Convention temple, then needing to do 5 "successful" Conventions for the Easter Event of which we had fail after fail after fail, you have the nerve to dump yet another Convention temple on us?

I will be urging all of my members on multiple servers to not spend a single diamond on any Convention. I hope to persuade other bosses to do the same.

I want this game to be fun - not work.

Please use some common sense with these temples.

#7317 Collection event - party suggestion

Posted by Caitlin on 07 May 2019 - 02:58 PM

I know a lot of people over the last few months have been dissatisfied with the emphasis on conventions in collection events. Personally I find conventions one of the least interesting areas of the game. I effectively switch off for an hour or two, and just click a button every few minutes for the next show. There's no challenge, apart from possibly a few seconds of trying to time it right for a winning show, and although there are stories written for each one, in my rush to start the next show I rarely get a chance to take them in.

I've got an alternative suggestion for future collection events - a temporary party.

Parties are one of the most challenging, interesting and exciting parts of the game, and the way they are set up would be perfect for a short term event like Christmas or Easter.

You could add a temporary party area to the map, that is accessed with a party ticket like normal parties. You could have three themed areas, 15 themed challenges and a range of bosses that relate to whatever is being celebrated. Unlike with conventions, there'd be more of a visual element, as we could see the bosses and the areas on our screens. Event exclusive clothing and gadgets could be won as prizes, hopefully with some mechanism to ensure we don't just get duplicate clothing wins. It would be a lot more engaging and a lot more rewarding than the conventions are.

I think this would be a really cool addition to the game, and I hope it gets considered.

#6844 Garage Interview #1: CaptC

Posted by CaptC on 13 March 2019 - 11:19 PM

I joined the Big Bang Empire online community in February or March of 2016. I started as a confused newb on NU1, mostly looking for some chuckles and cartoon boobs.

It was a struggle back then. Knowledge of the game’s mechanics was carefully guarded lore in a few high level studios. After I became a studio boss by accident, I became a student of the game. My studiomates and I researched, we experimented, we learned. I have tried to give that back. I am immensely proud of the FAQ we have created, even though it is not yet complete.

This is a theme for me. The game has never been about my personal accomplishments. I was never a threat to be top player on any server. I preferred to nurture group accomplishments, working with dedicated players to foster strong competitive studios. I think I have succeeded. Busty Spiderbabes on NU1 and Abusement Park on UK1 have each been #1 for over a year. Fuckingham Palace on INT1 has been a consistent #2. The reality is, my studiomates did it all. I just hope I contributed a little.

But the time demands are extravagant. Three top level, competitive studios… Forum moderation… And now I am taking on other responsibilities as well.

Most importantly, my personal life is changing. I met a player known as Baby over two years ago. What started as a casual online acquaintance has turned into a real life romance. I plan to join my life to hers in the near future. Playing BBE together has been a way to bridge the miles, and soon in a couple of months we will start a new chapter in Texas together. We both are looking forward to when we do not need to carry on our relationship in a chat.

So I face a stark choice. There is not enough time to do everything.

I choose to continue my contributions to the community as a moderator. I am bringing my playing days to a close. Baby also chooses to join me in retiring from the game.

Over the next couple of days, I will hand over my boss and producer duties. Baby and I will both say goodbye to our many friends. We will donate our remaining diamonds and notes to our studios, and then we will delete our avatars on St. Patrick’s Day.

We will miss you all. Please raise a glass of green beer to Baby and Cap, if you happen to think of us. We hope you will be smiling.

#4927 Clicking voting ballots for temple

Posted by hot16 on 05 September 2018 - 10:36 AM

Hi!

Just thought about a potential new temple idea.  It would be to get a point for clicking a Big Bang Award voting ballot.  It would encourage voting and if known in advance, some players (or studios) may come up with some creative movie ideas for that week.....

#3135 Game play - strategies, ideas, tips and hidden gems

Posted by mountbara on 28 October 2017 - 03:17 PM

#1 Your best friend in early levels -  Mission successes. There are so many low level successes that can be gained and with a little bit of fore knowledge, harvested. An example of this is saving a 5 note item to be used in the sewing machine. There are success missions for using this up to 100 times. Since the cost of using the sewing machine is equal to the cost of the item to be changed, saving a 5 note item saves notes better used for skill points. Other examples are refreshing the shop fully gearing your character, buying an epic item from the shop. There are dozens of these low level very fast successes than can be done in a day or two.

Your next best friend is films. Films serve several purposes, they get you fans, which are needed to complete parties, which give tons of items, items than can be used to upgrade your gear, sold for notes, or saved for the item selling temple. Films can also give diamonds, items or skill points. Each of these are important, with (in my opinion) skill points being number 1 on the list. Refreshing your films until you get skill points is almost imperative for upper level players, there is no easier way to gain them on a daily basis. More skill points means your character is stronger. Base skill points not only stay with you as you change gear, but are augmented by studio and individual boosters.

Finally, your last best friend is duels. Duels give notes and on occasion, items and diamonds. Free, without experience. So many people zoom up levels which is fun, but if you are not gaining the notes, items and skill points to match your level, you will get killed in duels and probably lose interest in the game.  Duels are a way to gain these things without leveling. And of course, there are successes for dueling which are fairly easy to achieve, such as wins in a row, 100 in a day etc. Duel early, duel often :) Also, there is no shame in dueling people well below your level to avoid gaining glory which moves you up the ranking list. If you are trying for wins, why take a chance dueling someone you might lose to?

#245 Booty

Posted by SmashTheGash on 11 October 2016 - 01:52 PM

Ok, so I've been playing this game for a bit and really enjoy it. I'm an Adult gamer and this game is entertaining. That being said I sure would like to add some Booty Shots to my Cover shoots including various positions. You know the ones I'm talking about. Booty in the air, Shots of entertainer looking back over the booty at the camera, all fours booty pose or frontal. Just some Variation on the cover shoots would make them much more in depth on choosing the picture for my movie. Some of us are booty peeps. Just saying...

#228 Forum Rules and Terms of Use

Posted by Soares on 05 October 2016 - 09:19 PM

Forum Rules and Terms of Use

Welcome to Big Bang Empire's official US forum!

Since we want to fully concentrate on all topics concerning Big Bang Empire and create an atmosphere in which everyone is comfortable, it is important to establish rules which each user must follow.

If a user breaks any of the rules, his or her account may be temporarily or permanently removed.

The "Terms of Use" apply to the whole forum. Some subforums may be subject to specific terms and conditions which can be found attached to the subforum and must be followed.

Please make note that all content not written in English will be deleted immediately.

Topic and post content

1. Common rules for conduct
The simplest rule which must be followed to achieve a pleasant interaction amongst the users is to use common sense. Which means take the following into account:

  • Each user is a person.
  • Respect other users and their opinions as you would want them to respect you and your opinions.
  • There are also minors using the forum.
  • Personal differences should not be discussed on the forum but however in a private manner. There is the private messaging function (“PM”) for this.
  • You should write clearly and unambiguously using correct spelling so that there are no misunderstandings.
  • Copyright laws and EULA (End User License Agreement) also apply.
  • Everyone is responsible for his or her own content and therefore is subject to the resulting consequences.

2. Give constructive feedback and watch the quality of the content
We love constructive feedback about the game. Be specific and give examples when needed. We reserve the right to delete any comments, posts or discussions that violate the "Terms of Use". The users who use any of the following content will be warned or removed from the forum.

  • Insults, personal attacks, obscenities, curses or abbreviations of curses.
  • Illegal, sexually offensive, racist, ethnic, religious or derogatory content.
  • Fraud in or out of the game (e.g. “Exploits”, “Scams”, “Phishing”, websites and files containing or sending viruses and other malware).
  • Commercials, political, and other advertisements for third party organizations or services involving our competitors will not be tolerated.
  • Denouncing other player’s actions with screenshots or character’s names.
  • Impersonating someone from Playata and/or European Games Group using official personal names or similar names.
  • Releasing a user’s personal information (addresses, telephone numbers, e-mails, and other contact information) – even if it is your own.
  • Copying or uploading copyrighted material (pictures, texts, etc.)
  • Mail interactions between users and the official Big Bang Empire Support are strictly confidential being that the interactions may contain personal information. Publishing it partly or in its entirety is forbidden.
  • Writing posts which do not add to the discussion topic such as “spam”, citing other posts without adding own content, “first!”-posts, or “bumps”, i.e. post which have the sole purpose of moving the thread up on the thread list.
  • Posting impertinent information regarding the game or game play.
  • Discussions involving the forum’s maintenance and moderation. If you have a comment or complaint you can contact us via message (“PM”) or simply fill out the support questionnaire.
  • Long signatures or signatures containing violations of the aforementioned rules are prohibited.
  • General or controversial statements without constructive content.
  • Posts in which players announce to others to stop playing the game, boycott the game or parts of the game.
  • Complaints concerning decisions of the official support, community management or moderators.
  • Users are free to use the private messaging function (“PM”) or the support form to inform the Community Management Team if there are any violations or misunderstandings.
  • Posts that jeopardize the good atmosphere of the forum or violate the laws.
  • Reposting a topic will not be tolerated. Should our team close a discussion giving reasons for doing so users cannot post another discussion topic with the same title. Of course, you can post topics later regarding the theme. This rule is meant to prevent repetition in the forum. Users are free to use the private messaging function (“PM”) or the support form to inform the Community Management Team if there are any violations or misunderstandings.
  • Only links to external web pages dealing with Big Bang Empire (fan pages, team sites, editorial articles, etc.) are allowed. These web pages may not violate the aforementioned rules and regulations (e.g. telling other people to boycott). Only exceptions: discussions and comparisons between games are allowed. However, if you post a link for another product you must mention the other product.
  • Themes and posts which are dealing with rights and laws (basic rights, constitutional laws, religious beliefs, etc.). Users who see this are asked to report this to our support team or to the responsible authorities.

3. Use the correct forum
Please be sure to post new topics and posts in the correct forum. This makes it easier for the other players and us to keep track of the events and give you a timely response.

4. No double-posts or cross referencing
Opening posts with the same content in several forums is unwanted because it divides the discussion and makes it harder for us to gather feedback. Cross references will be grouped together, closed, pinned to the other topic or deleted regardless of their content. Before posting make sure that there are not any existing posts with the same topic.

5. Use the search feature
In many cases a search in the forum can answer many questions. Familiarize yourself with the search feature and use it. Take a glance at the “FAQ & Others” section, since many players have already gathered useful information.

6. Technical limitations
For certain parts of the forum (e.g. signatures and pictures) we established technical limitations to ensure the forum’s user friendliness. Besides the standard set up in the forum software, we put in place the following restrictions:

  • Signature pictures are not allowed to exceed the following size: 350 x 100 pixels. All pictures exceeding the pixel restriction will be deleted immediately.

If all the forum members follow these few, clearly laid out and simple rules, there is no reason for a forum mediator to interfere or sanction the discussion.

Furthermore, the friendlier and more objective the discussions in the forum are, the easier it will be to cooperate, to help, and to answer questions.

If there are still any lingering questions or you need further help from an official, then please do not hesitate and contact our support with as many details as possible.

#10065 Suggestion: Provide a reward preview during movie production

Posted by Anna97 on 03 January 2021 - 12:07 PM

As a snail player - see mountbaras game guide, I quite often produce movies up to the completion level needed to earn sp or others rewards. Similarly, if there is a DS-task for customized movie covers, I stop a movie at the 2-star level, since movies give quite a bit of xp that you want to avoid playing for ratio (i.e. more skill points per level gained).

Since movies can last up to three hours shooting, often times I loose track of what the rewards for each completion level were when I started them and wonder whether I should finish them and to what level. Also, fans can be gained at lower completion level, which I think is pretty much undocumented and under the radar for some players.

Therefore, itd help this playstyle to show the rewards for each star-level during the production of a movie. All playstyles would profit from knowing whats to be gained to get to 2-star or 3-star completion, since forgetting a movie begs the question: do you want to extend it or not - difficult decision, if you dont know what you gain from it!

Hovering over each star-level, the UI could help out by showing the fans and other rewards gained at that level.

Check this mock-up for reference:
