   I am contemplating buying the $19.99 package... the extra diamonds are better than the bonus items but I'm just wondering (and I don't care about the storage).

you must buy the package that says you will receive bonus items to receive bonus items.

There are two potential bonuses.

 

The package itself will tell you if you get a bonus set item, as Mountbara says.

 

My understanding is that your first purchase of diamonds will also expand your battery storage.

 

If your first purchase includes a set item, you should get both bonuses.
