I ask because I don't want to waste money buying diamonds if the boxes almost always contain items. I know no one knows the exact ratio of items to decorations in the deco boxes but I would appreciate experienced peoples best guesses. Thank you.

The fewer the number of decorations you have the higher the chance of getting decorations. But personally I would never consider spending diamonds on them. Save them for Mistys and doing the wash in shop. Just collect room scents in missions. There was 1 player that posted in here after spending diamonds on deco boxes that had been playing a while, and they were none too happy about opening up 10 items. They were after a seasonal deco and struck out completely. Oh and welcome to the forums almost forgot to say that.
