   The video ads screen will load up a still picture of a video but it will never play so I don't get a 50% time reduction on my missions. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this?

There are no video ads on the Nutaku server, Kitekat.

 

But on all the others, a little television screen can show up near the batteries icon. Once an hour, you can choose to see a video ad, which acts as if you have just used a battery.

 

20886432, if you are having difficulty with the ads, post a ticket to support. It is possible that there is a bug in the actual ad, or you may need to adjust some browser settings.

It's mostly the smoothie king ads Capt C. It's not just them

I do not have a video ad screen, too

The reason is probably that I play on Steam

Try using a different browser, chrome is notorious for not letting you play that kind of video, try using Firefox or internet explorer.

I'm having problems with the cosmetic ads: Head & Shoulders, Crest, razors etc. They freeze up every time and I lose out on the reduction.

I also get a Toyota ad and though it plays, It stutters, freezes, then continues, repeating issue until it at least finishes.
Submitted a ticket and their response was the easy-way-out: clear cookies etc.
Of course this isn't the issue as the problem persists.
All the other (gaming mostly) ads run 'fine' (maybe it's the interface between the ad and the game code not gelling?)

the ads with the issue have only been popping up within the last couple/few months
I currently use Google Chrome and it is fully up to date.

I haven't got the cosmetic/hygiene ads yet so I can't confirm on those. 
I switched to Opera from Firefox, because FF started to have issues with the game not loading etc.

I just got a frozen video...clicked on the video and it linked to a Walmart Gillette site. 
The video froze immediately.

Using Opera.

This was a new 'cosmetic' ad

You are on Nutaku which does not offer video watch reduction times.

Yes thank you, i did notice after posting that Captc had already posted about it not being on nutaku

Video not playing may be due to Firefox blocking Flash. I haven't whitelisted flash for us2.bigbangempire.com; on to do list for tomorrow since I'm out of energy for today.
