I have been advised that purchasing skills in the order they are cheapest is the best plan as you will not only be acquiring more skills but also have a balanced character. Do you guys believe this is wise?
I have been told to purchase whichever skill is the cheapest, is this right?

I don't believe a balanced character is best.
There is no denying the math, you DO get more skills if you always buy the cheapest. The more skills you have, the stronger you will be. You just use other mechanics to 'unbalance' your character.

Yes, I use free skills I acquire from temple, movie ballots, achievements, etc. to favor Charisma and Finesse. I buy cheap skills for quantity, I assign free skills for quality.
