I am just wondering if you guys think that customizing the titles & buying film cover upgrades boosts the odds of your video getting voted for enough to be worth investing notes or diamonds in getting them.

I will note that there are a few players who regularly hit the 'Report' button on any custom titles they see. I will hesitate to ascribe motives to such behavior (*cough* trying to get people banned *cough*), but be aware that if you use custom titles, your cover will have an increased chance of coming to support's attention. 

 

Support has become aware that when a cover is reported, the vast majority of time the cover is not actually offensive. It is most likely a troll trying to cause mischief... although occasionally we seem to have prudes who don't deal well with innuendo.

 

Stay away from bad words (even with letters substituted), and make no direct attacks on other players, and chances are good support is not going to have an issue with your cover. However, we have to look at all reports, which means that if your cover is borderline offensive, someone is likely to change the name for you.

I will almost always vote for a custom title, especially if it is a porn parody style pun

I tend to vote for custom titles.  I'll even throw in a few.  "Put it on my Tab"  "Put Tab A into Slut B"  "Tabby Cat - in Heat." to name a few.  My best movie finish (3rd place tie) so far is off a custom title. My last one was "NOT THE FACE! Paint" and showcased the blue hands body paint.

 

After the pride event I did one with the rainbow outfit.  The orginial tilte ides was "Rainbow Connection -Kermit Not Included" but dropped that last part because of I didn't want to risk gettting reported for "...with animals".

 

I do find it funny that "bad words" are discouraged and reportable, but the random name generator includes "Fuck Everything".

 

As for spending diamonds on the cover without doing the title too, well no one will know you spent diamonds on it, but it could still make it look better.  Like if I get a movie with Nurse or Doctor in the title and there isn't any part of the cover picture related to the theme I won't vote for it.  But that's just me.
