I wish to amend my answer:

"I think the Rivet is the best refinement for that equipment slot. You should take the Rivet, and NEVER replace it with anything other than another purple Rivet or possibly a purple Balls."

I am not overly fond of Purple Balls. But I agree that they are wonderful in studio fights when you are throwing cakes. Go to the full post

The new one gives me +212 Stamina, -883 Charisma, +730 Finesse, +54 Damage and a 30% Rivet Attachment (the highest that one goes).

 

the attachment on my old one was +8% missile damage

I think the Rivet is the best refinement for that equipment slot. You should take it, and not replace it with anything other than another purple refinement. Ever.

I somewhat disagree with Cap's answer.    Epic balls (missile damage + 20%) is also a very acceptable option.  I go back and forth on my refines for my gadget and whichever of the 2 epic refines pops up first, I happily choose.

 

Maybe Cap doesn't do anywhere close to the # of duels with missiles that I do. B)

Epic balls are good, but only make great impact if you are a caker. If you are not, go with whatever comes first as epic.
