Good news! I am being told the issues with the BBA awards on Nu1 has been resolved. Please post here if you continue to have issues.

Since the other thread on this topic got locked down I figured it was time to start a new one.

 

Last week the Big Bang Awards got partially fixed, but everyone in my studio still gets the "Currently no Big Bang Awards are taking place" error in the Parties and Missions area...each and every time a mission is completed or navigating from one city to another.

 

My "Select a film for the Big Bang Awards" list dropped from 84 to 0 this week. Everyone got the prize for winning the BBA, including the title Superstar, but the core issue has not been resolved.

Thats because there are no films in the rankings yet as it was broken I assume. After the reset your current feature film will be in the rankings and it will start working as normal again without the stupid pop-ups. Or I hope thats how it´s going to play out......

Like you, I hope so as well. The last time this got broken (in mid 2016) the fix came all at once so I am skeptical.

 

If this bug were less...insistent, not constantly reminding you it was there, then this wouldn't be such an issue. We are on week 5 of constant pop-ups reminding us that a core feature of the game is broken.

I just noticed that the reason the previous other thread was closed is because one of the other threads was pinned. I apologize to the mods for not noticing this and ask that this thread be closed as well.

Currently there's back-to-backing voting going on (because of the saved up ballots, I assume).

Yes, it may be annoying, but do all the back-to-back voting that you can until it is done.  Every vote gets you rewards.  Some even a few diamonds.  I just cycled back and forth from Home to the Missions page over and over again until I had no more voting left and ended up with quite a few skill points, an item, and a couple of diamonds not to mention notes just for voting over and over until it was finished.

Once again the BBA are messed up by a special event. I thought you had the problem fixed. Or did I misread your post? Not that I mind the thousands-way tie for first, but it's not really fair to the folks who earned the title (and rewards) honestly.

So, I had posted that my studio mates were being gypped out of their first place finishes... It turns out that is not the case. They did get paid for their first place finishes, it was just delayed.

 

So the problem here is that we have to click over and over and over again that the Big Bang Awards are broken. And it will take something like three weeks for the problem to resolve itself.

 

This is poor practice... the bug is clearly well known.  The fact that they knew EVERY SINGLE PLAYER would be inconvenienced on this server, but they went ahead and did it anyway, simply shows the priority this server gets.

Next time this happens I will have to remember that, if no BBAs are awarded on a Monday, I should not do any missions that award voting ballots. That should prevent that annoying popup, shouldn't it.

It should prevent the pop-ups (I didn't get any until I did one), but you'll lose out on the admittedly small bonuses associated with them. Depends on how annoyed you get.

I don't get annoyed by the pop ups but I have some other questions:

 

What happens to all the movies we have done?!?!? I have one week of production during which I also invested diamonds to get a nice poster!! Are those lost?!?!?  

 

I have been told than, when it is repaired you get to vote for all the films for which you should have voted based on the number of polls you participated. Is this true?!?!?

Just keep the movie with that nice poster selected as the one you want to submit to the BBA. As long as this bug persists you can still keep on making movies; they will just be piled on the big heap of movies that you don't submit to the BBA. 

 

And once they finally get around to fix this issue the system will make you catch up on all of those ballots you were unable to use.

...And if previous behavior continues, mimesis, you will get a first place finish when the rewards finally do work again.
