With this thread I want to address an issue which has become apparent since the introduction of the film trophies in the game mechanics. I don’t think it presumptuous to say that I’m not the only one intensely bothered by what the trophies are doing to the BBA’s and have seen other comments in regard.
At the time of writing this post, there is only a single film in the top 25, at position 24, made by the member of a studio which did not hold a film trophy during the making of the film for the current BBAs.
This is also true for last week’s BBAs, hence the alarm for the situation and its potential effects on the BBAs as a fun… and desirable, element of the game.
The ability to spend diamonds to refresh films for voting was already a detrimental element, allowing certain studios/members to buy a position in the awards. Now not only the diamond refreshing option remains, but to this is added the fact that non-trophy holding studios RARELY are able to have their films dsiplayed for voting.
I used to be able to vote at least 3 times a week for films of fellow studio members, or even my own. No longer. Not a single film I voted on…even refreshing with diamonds, cam e froma studio not holding a movie trophy for the current awards.
If the all Big Bang Empire members and relative studios had a more or less fair chance at placing top 25 or even winning the BBA awards before the trophies were introduced. This is no longer the case.
The films in the top 25 at this moment with the exception of 3 films all have stock titles and are absolutely uninteresting. Members spend diamonds to customize their films…even more now with the introduction of more options to do so…and make efforts for their films to stand out from the rest. Playata by introducing the film trophies risks doing their own selves damage. If the idea is to make money through the sale of diamonds to customize the films, that’s not going to happen any more when members realize they’re just wasitng time and diamonds because their film will never be shown enough to even get close to the top 25.
Bad Move, Playata. Reconsider or change the mecanics of the film trophies, otherwise this game loses players, but even worse…credibility in its very core, considering we’re all porn stars here…or maybe just those with film trophies?
