it would be nice to see a negative bonus for clothes/items that do not match, no bonus for some items and a positive bonus for those who do match. And finally, an extra bonus for when you do wear a complete set of corresponding clothes.

I agree except nix the negative bonus for unmatching items.  Especially for people just starting out.  You don't want to penalize them for wearing the only clothes available to them at the time.  It would turn new people away too fast.  However, if you encourage matching items, then people will try and go for those more often.  It'll also encourage people to use diamonds to purchase more storage slots for all of their items.

That would also only give diamond spenders an even more edge though. The not diamond spenders will have to hang behind then. It kinda needs to be fair for all players, right? But I like the idea. Just take the - bonus on not matching clothes away and keep them on no bonus 

(and put it with a percentage up on 1 stat if you have 2 matching parts, 2 stats if you have 3 matching parts,...)

Wouldn't it make sense to make it like a catwalk? You walk on the catwalk and other players vote on your cloth combination!!
