My guild won the Super-Mega Stripper Figure trophy. The text says 20 courage for duels, -2 courage use per duel. How is this benefit activated?

That's exactly how it works: instead of 100 points of courage to fight duels with you have 120. and instead of 20 pts per duel it costs 18.
Also, for each trophy you have (of any type) your skills are reduced by 10% in studio fights. The ring refinement "Trophy Penalty Reduced X %" reduces the penalty percentage by X percent (example: a 10% penalty is reduced to 9% by a 10% refinement). It is NOT a subtraction (which would be easier to calculate, but Much too powerful).
A quirk of the Courage trophies is that you retain its benefits until the next time the game reloads, even if the trophy is lost.
