Hi!

 

I noticed that some players have a whole string of refinements, such as:

 

- colourful plastic balls (missile damage increased)

- reinforced leather patch (reduced damage)

- affixed cotton balls (reduced missile damage)

- spurring knobs (attack 2x in a row)

- applied lube (chance of avoiding regular hit)

- euphoriant perfume (attack 2x in a row after critical hit)

 

and so on.

 

How do we get these refinements?

 

So far, I have only got lousy/useless refinements like "+2% basic stamina", "+5% basic finesse" and so on. Only 3 or 4 times - out of 25 refinements - have I got battle refinements, and none of them have been as good as the ones I see on other players.

 

Is the process of refning an item in the store completely random? As in, you have absolutely zero control over what refinement you get?

 

In other words, it's like a jackpot right?

 

If so, then how did those players get those coveted battle refinements which I mention above?

You can spend 19 diamonds to go beyond the freebie daily refinement.

 

Yes the refinement is all luck. It is possible to get a "battle" refinement on that first time, but it is unlikely.

Thanks!    So I guess those players who got the "good" refinements just kept trying until they got one?    Wow, that must've cost a lot of diamonds!!!

Yes, it is a luck factor but I think the chances of getting "lucky" is also dependent on the quality of item, ie an Epic item is more likely to get get a better refinement than a common. The main thing is to remember it every day. Even if you don´t have the time to play much on certain day, at least get in twice a day to get your job notes, use the washing machine, and see Misty.

 

I really only spam for certain items: ie the rings for the trophy penalty reduction and the boots for the survival refinement.

also, certain refinements can only be applied to specific items... make sure you try different items to try to get the refinements you're looking for...
