One example is the "Patch no. 1":

The tooltip informs you that your chance to deal the first strike is "50% higher". What does that mean? The initial chance should be 50%. Is the resulting chance 100%, 75% or something else altogether? Do player get a "roll" when the fight starts, i.e. does one player start, get a 75% chance and if they dont start, does the other get a roll with their 50+x%?

Similarly with many, many other specials, especially the "Porn sticker":

What does "Your trophy penalty is reduced by 30%" mean? If the penalty is 80%, is the new penalty 50% or 56%? In any case, it would be nice to know what exactly happens.

Therefore, taking the "Patch no. 1" as an example, for usability reasons, Id suggest building the tooltips something like this (adding fuzzyness in this case, but making it clear how the fight would roll):

The suggestion as a mockup: https://ibb.co/hZ9P2FJ

Cheers,

Anna

Usually the defender gets the 1st hit. With the refine you get a 50% chance to take that away. At least that is the way I see it.

It's true it's sometimes not well told wat it does, but basically that NO. 1 patch refinement just gives 50% that you do the first hit to the opponent. You start with 0 all the time ofc. So just a half chance you get to hit first.

As of the porn star sticker, it's more of it reduces 30% (that's max) of the total minus skills you get from trophy penalties, so you first have to count the total skills you lose from teh percentage of penalty you have (ex. 60% of 20,000) and then after that do the 30% of the outcome of that example I gave and then do the both outcomes minus and you see how much you get back you would have lost otherwise (I think it's a bit difficult told, but I hope it gives somewhat an idea of how the sticker refinement works)

Thanks for jumping in. I also found out with the help of the studio how the sticker works.

The whole point of the suggestion is to make it clear from the beginning. Just have tooltips that tell the whole story and dont leave you wondering.

So for the sticker itd obviously be: "Porn star sticker (-25%) Reduces penalty in studio fights to 45%." (assuming the penalty would be 60%) This then means that the sticker becomes more important as the penalty goes up and it cant reduce it to 0%, if you had 25% penalty e.g. That is not obvious from what the tooltips tell players.

Well, they can't do that about the porn star sticker. They would need to do a lot of coding otherwise if they want it to follow it up with the penalty percentage.

The sticker refinement is difficult to explain indeed, I am not even certain how somebody could say it easier as it's not the penalty you reduce with it, it's just the percentage of the total skills lost you reduce, so that's what they need to tell better and change, but guess they want the experienced players to be of help then with that to (try) explain it to the newer players ;)

They obviously also want people to communicate with each other and make people feel home and make new friends and all and just have fun with other people (not that kind of fun although it "can" too lol) Like it is for me. The game for me only is good and makes you happy to play it if you have people to socialize with

And sorry now to keep on talking hahaha I can get to rambling on further sometimes but it's not always bad, I promise :)

Sure, JV. Trying to figure out stuff in the team is part of the fun. Me, personally, Id just prefer to talk strategy, not figuring out features. :)

And the answer for patch no.1: the patch adds absolute percentage to your odds of starting a fight, i.e. with the epic refinement you always go first against opponents w/o the patch. Strangely, it doesnt seem to trigger in studio fights.

Just enjoy the game with your found friends, that's what I do and I don't think about strategy. I'm a simple guy, I just keep playing in a very basic way and enjoy being with my friends and those who I call my family ;)

The patch refinement for the headwear isn't anything good to have really, you could still miss your attack even if you have the first hit xD and it's non existing in studio fights indeed
