I intend this to be similar to Mountbara's excellent topic about how individuals should play the game, but I will be aiming this at the studio level.
This note will cover the basics of trophies, and how they interact with the porn star sticker. Further notes will deal with picking the optimal trophy load for your studio, tactics for winning fights considering trophy penalties, using trophies as weapons, and how to manage your trophies when being attacked.
What are trophies?
There are currently three, sorted from best to worst.
Movie trophy has a 20% fight penalty, and lets every member of your studio make one more movie per day.
Energy trophy has a 10%penalty, and gives every member 20 more energy to spend for free.
Courage trophy has a 7% penalty, and reduces the cost of a duel by 2 courage, and ups the maximum amount of courage your bar can hold.
As studios increase their development, trophy slots open up. At 100% development, a studio can hold five trophies. (We will talk about this more in a later post.)
Trophies are won or lost during studio fights, and are at risk on both attack and defense. The studio that wins a fight takes a random trophy from the loser, unless all the winner's trophy slots are already full.
Trophy penalties and the porn star sticker
Trophy penalties apply only to studio fights. In any studio fight, every member of your studio has their skill points reduced by the trophy penalty.
Trophy penalties are cumulative. The more trophies your studio has, the more skill points are lost.
An example:
A studio is accidentally running 3 movie trophies and 2 energy trophies.
(3 movie trophies * 20%) + (2 energy trophies * 10%) = 80% penalty
Every member of that studio loses 800 out of every 1000 skills
Now note that the porn star sticker refinement on your ring can reduce this penalty.
Continuing our example, we note that most of the players in the studio have 30% pornstar sticker rings
They recover 30% of the 800 lost points, or 240 per thousand
Which means those players are actually "only" losing 560 skills per thousand
Those numbers seem small... 560 points aint that much! But that's per thousand. Let's turn that into absolute numbers.
A player with 30,000 skill points loses 24,000 points at 80% penalty.
Every 1% in a porn star sticker saves 240 points.
A 20% ring returns 4800 skill points!
A 30% ring returns 7200 skill points!!!
Those numbers are staggeringly huge.
The rule of thumb is, if you are in a studio with any kind of significant studio trophy penalty, find a 30% porn star sticker! And don't replace it with anything other than another 30% sticker!
