Hi.

 

I stayed up for the 4:00 am convention last night. Which didn't actually take place. Same with the 2pm convention today.

 

what is going on, is this normal? Please advise! This is a terrible temple to begin with, but it is *much* worse if you can't even follow your own schedule.

Is that when they're supposed to happen? I have had the convention quest for a while and I get no notice of any conventions.

Is there a schedule somewhere? I am on NU1 also

Pretty much everything in this game is in a hover somewhere. 

 

During a convention temple, or during special events, upcoming conventions are often shown if you hover over the temple gong on your studio chat page.

 

At other times, temples just pop up randomly.

 

(Except:  If you run on multiple servers, you can often figure the time difference.  UK and US/NU servers follow the same convention schedule, so someone playing on UK gets advance warning of when that same convention will run on US, due to time differences.)

Perhaps my calculations are wrong, but I am not finding the time difference to be 8 hours these days.

It was possible to check during the conventions temple with posted schedules, and the time difference matched then.

 

These days I see a convention on UK2, work out supposed time for NU1 (+8 -5 =+3 hours for studio mate in USA) and let someone know in my studio on NU1 that may be up at the time. They report that the conventions were not at the time I calculated. This has happened a few times now.

I was deliberately vague about the hours. You should be able to calculate the difference by looking at the time stamp difference between the two servers. However, the UK and the US vary their Daylight Savings hours differently, and for all I know there are other time-keeping variations that matter, so no single hour difference is always going to be accurate.
