With the ability to level up quickly even for high level players, more and more players will be hitting high levels of 700+.   With that high level, notes gained from missions and bonuses continue to increase.   The 2,147,483,647 hard limit is easily reached forcing a player to spend notes or lose them.   Even spending all those notes on skills, we can barely get 600 skills.

 

Since this is a 32-bit hard limit, I am guessing rewriting all of the code to 64-bit is not an easy task.

 

Another option I thought of is having a secondary spot to save notes, kind of like a bank.  We could then store another 2.1 billion notes in that spot.  It would be similar to buying a tab to store extra items in.  Thus we could transfer notes from regular-to-bank or withdraw from bank-to-regular area as long as neither area maxes out.

And what would you do with it when you've saved up 4.2 billion notes?

I like the idea of gifting notes from the studio cashbox to individual players. How about that?

To answer you both:  4.2 billion is better than 2.1.  More of a temporary solution unless additional "banks" or notes storage areas could be bought. Still not as good as being able to save as long and as much as we want though.  

 

Anna, that would not be fair due to the notes received by a high level player compared to a much lower player.

I've been happily spending my notes on skill points :) My SPs are waaaayyyyy too expensive now for me to ever win the tournament so maybe not the most satisfactory solution for higher level folks, but I'm cool with it for now.

Just noticed the other day that my studio has also hit the hard limit for fans.   Too many pieces of this game are bumping into the 32-bit hard limits.  I know it is a dream, but I really hope a 64-bit option for this game would be developed.

Someone correct me, but as long as its not "far cry", adding 32 bits to the existing data types is not that big of a deal. It can be as simple as having to longs,where the second one gets filled once the first is full and vice versa.
