The pride event.  I like it.  Cool stories.  Minor hic up that was mostly fixed if not 'null-summed' for the event tasks.

 

Very pretty items available from the movie set, the event tasks, and the convention.

 

So far all the conventions I have seen have had achievable goals.  So far all the conventions I have seen have failed miserably.  I would like to have a chance to get one or more of the items from the convention set.  It seems, making it a temple challenge, as well, gives it a better chance at succeeding to get the top 10 rewards.

 

"We" may be tired of temple challenge, but "I" am not tired of cool loot from convention successes.  So, selfishly, don't listen to us about the convention temple.

I got what I wanted. It was not that it was "conventions", it was that we kept getting the same temple, over and over again. I will say that most of the conventions on US2 have been on the reachable but highish side. And since the players, as a whole, have decided to sit a lot of them out, they are not succeeding.

The cons might have been more successful if there'd been some new designs to go for. The stuff you can get from them shows up in the shop, on movies and in missions.

If you want a new set of rainbow underwear what are you going to do? Spend 1-2 hours repeatedly clicking the same sequence of buttons every few minutes and spending a bunch of diamonds so you can get it? That's if the con passes and you get a high enough place of course.

Or play the game normally, maybe refresh the shop and the movie options a couple of times, and get one that way. Even if one doesn't show up you've used your time completing the event tasks instead of doing a con, so you can choose it as your reward

OK, I am speaking as someone in their first year, so everything is new.  I took that into consideration when I made this post.

 

I too didn't really want another temple convention this week.  But given how poor the event conventions have turned out I am now of the opinion they are needed.

 

We had 3 conventions in April and May.  Easter, the Penis one, and the Sci-fi (May the 4th)   With temples for part of all of them.  I can be quoted as saying I liked the Sci-Fi the best, though was personally burnt out on temple cons for it.  However I participated in 7 successful cons, 4 with top 10 finishes in said Sci FI one.  I made 2 BBA movies from the items from the SCI-FI, finishing a personal best, 3rd in BBA.

If they made them during the event weeks only, it would not be so bad, but we were getting them during event weeks and more, massive number of temple conventions.

Now we've had 2 events in June. The Censorship one, and the Pride one. I'm cool with conventions during the events, just don't do convention temples in a month that has 2 or more events 

 

Star Wars event and Easter event in May with a convention temple was too much. June having a convention temple with the Censorship and Pride events was, again, too much. Trying to add another convention temple in June led to the anger and frustration we showed in the forum

 

I understand convention temples will be a part of the game. However, when they're scheduled in a month with 2 or more events, conventions effectively become the game, and that's not why I spend my money and leisure time here

If they took away conventions entirely, I would definitely get what I wanted.

 

Also, What you consider "achievable" requires some people to spend thousands ofdiamonds to win. Sometimes, it's just1-2 people spending an insane amount of diamonds, while everyone else slowly chips away at the number required to succeed. Other times, it barely passes with 30 seconds to spare because everyone is frantically spending 45 diamonds a pop just to make that piece of **** pass... 

 

I don't know about you, but it makes me sick to my stomach knowing how much people have to spend for these things to succeed at what you consider an achievable goal.

 

Conventions are not fun...  They're basically raids, but instead of getting epic loot, you get a pile of ****. Instead of feeling rewarded for your time, you feel like you've wasted it. They need to make conventions worthwhile if they're going to try and force them on us every other week.

IF we now have convention temples at an equal frequency as the others, then we got part of what I want. We still haven't gotten conventions with reasonably reachable goals (at least on NU1). THAT's the icing on the cake.  With most of the recent event conventions failing it's obvious that the bar is still set too high.

I believe the pride conventions failed misably from lack of interest.  There was one that I snuck in four mins at work to do one show.  I finished 136th.  The most shows winner was 32.  I can't tell you how many people I was tied with, but only 135 people doing more than one show is pretty telling.
