I'm posting this because I didn't find much posted about "I am not alone! IV" before I attempted it. For veterans this is likely old information, but as a newish player this would have helped a lot.

 

Description:

"I am not alone! IV" requires initiating 100 duels within the 24 hours between when missions reset.

 

Complications and mechanics:

You can get a free attack every 10 minutes.

However, this isn't often the case.

When your dueling energy is between 0 and 20, you gain 1 every 30 seconds.

After 20, you gain 1 every 3 minutes (or so, I haven't check to see if it gets even worse over time).

 

This means that to complete the success in the minimal time of 16 hours and 40+ minutes, you have to initiate a duel every 10 minutes almost to the second.

 

So, it's possible to do without diamonds, but ridiculously laborious. And I've already accidentally spent more than twice the reward amount trying this, and still might fail today because I realized these facts much too late.

Doesn't seem like that should ever be the case.

 

There are 24 hours in a day... or 1440 minutes in a day.  Dividing 1440 by 10 minutes you get the potential to initiate an attack 144 times in a 24 hour period (not counting the first 4 duels you do when initially draining your fist of energy at the start of play)... and this is assuming you make the next hit almost immediately like you said.

 

100 (the goal of the mission) divided by 144 (max hits in a day) = 69.44 % of the day at a minimum is needed to achieve this goal without spending diamonds. Rounding up 70% requires 1008 minutes, which is 16.8 decimal hours, or 16 hours and 48 minutes.

 

Requiring over 16 and 3/4 hours of game play, the success, "I am not alone IV" (100 duels in a game day) would take some serious binge playing to achieve without using diamonds.

 

I wonder if anyone has successfully conducted this mission of: "I am not alone IV" ? ...

I had a teammate do it as a personal challenge. I believe their comment after completing it was, "Never again".

 

I have no intention of ever trying to do this mission. I did the same analysis you did, Tara, and realized I could never complete it without spending more diamonds that the reward. I think of it as a trap for those with too much money to burn.

You would have to play 24/24 to get it without problems xD (which I think someone could do ifthey are hardcore gamers)

I know a few people who have completed the Task they all felt awful afterwards. You need to ensure all the fights you take on are winning ones.  So you have a tendency to punch down consistently.

that sounds about right. It took me nearly 17 hours from 4 pm to 11 am to achieved it last weekend

I should point out that being in a studio with a fair number of courage trophies helps dramatically with this quest.

it's actually not that long if you are in a studio with duel trophies, took around 9 hours if I remember right

initially I wanted to leave it be till my studio get that courage trophy. But that week we got Duels Temple, so....one stone for two birds I guess

Is there a list somewhere of the achievements that aren't worth the rewards?  Seems like this & shopping tour would be on it.

well, that would be a hard list to put together since it would be purely opinion.
