Seems like they have been having more and more convention temples recently.  It doesn't benefit the players in the smaller studios/non diamond spenders one bit and you can lose a few players if this keeps up. Same with dueling temple as diamond spenders can just win that. Go back to some that can be a little fair to other small studios like collecting/running collecting missions that allow free players to feel like they help out thier studio more than just have the diamond spenders win these 

 

Its just my 2 cents as I know my studio on us2 has won these the last few times but they shouldn't have them so close together 

 

Granted I know they introduced new items that are for convention only sets but ea time this convention ran an event went along with it so no new items are being given out. 

 

Maybe Im wrong and players like this kinda of temple..whatever its just how I feel..If Im wrong Im wrong  Have a good day!

I don't mind them, atleast you don't have to do much xD (you can only do them when you can and for how long you can, you can also just stop midway and all if you want xD)

 

I'm not saying I don't do them at all, I just do what I can and don't care about those diamond spenders (although I do want to firefighter costume set, even if I only get 1 time in top 10 to finally get a firefighter costume piece, I would be happy) 

 

And everyone has his prefered and least favorite temples, so no problems with that

I will spend diamonds from time to time, but I still hate convention challenges. In general, temple challenges should be accessible to all studios and players on an equal basis. The competitions that can be bought aren't really competitions.

I'm coming to the conclusion if someone wants to spend a crazy amount of diamonds on something which really has a poor personal Return on Investment like conventions, then my only comment is one of gratitude and I say to that player...

Our whole studio has vowed not to spend any diamonds on this temple as we are sooooo sick of convention temples!  Playata, you are losing interest in temple by bringing this back so much.  Keep it to about once every two months and you'll probably make a lot more money out of it.

Always remember, you are playing the game for fun! If you are not having fun with a certain aspect of the game, don't do it. Our studio does not mandate people have to spend diamonds or get a certain amount of points in a temple, we leave it to each individual to decide whether to spend real life money or not.

I have a quest about inviting 10 guests at a convention or something. I thought that was different through the map.

We are talking about the Temple in the Studio. One of the Temple events gives points for participating in conventions.

One way to "post a picture" to these forums is to first do what you did... HOST A PICTURE somewhere (like you did), and then if you know where the URL of the image address is (which you usually can get by right clicking on the image on your browser window), and then use the Polaroid picture icon (in the edit box here, just left of the <> brackets), and then copy and paste the URL image address into the dialogue box and click OK.  It will appear in your message like below:

As for the image, it's a SUCCESS REWARD.  You just have to do your first Convention to unlock the reward, in this case an unknown item of unknown value.  Conventions are pretty random.  Sometimes when you go to your mission screens, you will see the 'aftermath message' of a convention that will say "Here is your reward - or something like - we are tabulating your reward" for a convention you didn't even know happened.  That's when you know you just missed a convention.  And of course there is no reward for missing a convention, so the message seems like a misnomer at best, and a 'tease to what you just missed' at worst.

 

Conventions ARE SO random, that unless they are tied to a specific event, like Christmas Advent (seasonal), or Studio Temple Challenges (weekly but also random) you don't know their schedules, and that can be frustrating.  But when you do attend your first Convention, it will be through the mission screens, and it will take place on one of the stages, like Tellville, Santo Roco, etc.

If you are on during a convention, a screen will pop up telling you about it.  Your current location will then be moved to where the convention is happening.  

 

If you look at the screen for mission selection, there are now FIVE icons instead of the usual four. The strange looking one is a convention mission.  Select that icon, run the mission, and you will have a success accomplishment!

On UK2 for me, I have to actually select the Mission Screen icon (green map icon on bottom) for the alert to come up... or maybe the "Convention going on alert" pop-ups for most players right away on login... I hardly ever logout. so I cannot confirm that.

Just my luck though, I miss most of them...
