I hope I am not starting a new thread uselessly...

First of all I have to say that the temple is really exciting. We are a relatively small studio but all the members participate enthusiastically and we are really excited when we get to the last minutes and we are still fighting for a position with another studio!!  

So said, in the studio we are all new to the game and we sometimes discuss - yes, we don't talk only about best blow job techniques...  - about the number of existing varieties of temple challenges and about their pattern, do they happen randomly or it is a fixed sequence?

Anybody having an answer?!?!?

Surely you don't think anyone in the game would have catalogued all that, with hints for how to optimize your play for each challenge, so that he could help his studio be #1 in temples on a regular basis?  

 

Who would do something like that?

 

What kind of a fanatic do you think takes this game that seriously?

For the current temple, and all skill temples, take short skill missions, preferably less than six minutes, but even shorter if you can. If you run out of short skill missions, take a short fight or timed mission to clear an area. Instead of taking that 11 minute skill mission, tou can probably get a three minute fight mission and two four minute skill missions.

 

And realize this week you will have little control over your missions, so directing your missions towards either notes or experience is going to be compromised.

My question is simple and stems out of this situation...close your eyes (rhetorically) and follow me...

 

We discuss in the Studio about clothes, we had some weeks ago a temple requiring to sell them and now everybody is trying to stock them up in view of that event. But the time goes by and that temple mission doesn't come back. The actors are frustrated and they decide to interrogate the boss of the studio.
Now, the boss of the studio is a figure half way between a goddess and a slave (more a slave in my case).
I start to answer with my typical unstructured approach "...skills...we have four...combats...winning...losing...films...how many types....what has been the sequence until now..." I blush, I don't know...should I have tracked it? (see my psychological profile to better figure out the dynamics). Unsatisfied by my stuttering answer they decide to sacrifice me: they tie me and decide to deny me orgasms until the temple requiring to sell clothes doesn't come back...
 

Sooo...the point is really about the number of types of temple challenges and if they happen randomly.
Personally I like this feeling of suspense "what will be the temple of next week?!?!". Furthermore does it really matter to know? When we are there in the studio we have fun with the competition whatever the challenge even in the case of the ones we more dislike (e.g. conventions).

On this note I also would like to formulate a proposal: would it be possible to have a temple where you score on the basis of how many conventions you miss????

My players all have closets stuffed with stuff to sell, as well.

 

I seem to recall a list of temples posted in the UK forum, but my search fu is weak, apparently.

I have a closet stuffed with Epic items waiting for that Temple Mission in case it happens again.  If I recall, it happened shortly after Christmas event the first time I saw it, and then it has happened once more this year, but I don't remember when it was.  I think it was only a couple of months after the last selling items temple mission.

 

However, they have added in the past few months, several new types of Temple Missions.  If I recall correctly, some of the current Skill Temple MIssions they have been hosting, are pretty new.  I haven't been playing nearly long enough as others to tell for sure, but when I first joined in November/December 2016, they seemed to cycle through mainly film missions, fight missions, convention missions, party missions, and Dueling mostly.  The Skill Temple Missions were pretty new to me starting this year, so there have been changes.  If CaptC could get his mojo back and restore his "search-fu" then maybe we'd get a better idea?

Well, not the selling items one.  Now it is make yourself poor by buying skill points.  Seems they are setting us up for next week to sell all our items to earn our money back.

Or we sell all our clothes now in order to make money to spend on skill points... And of course next week there will be the one where you have to sell your clothes that unfortunately you don't have any longer... And the week after,  the temple where you have to use the stitching machine on as many clothes as you can, so that you have to buy new outfits to replace the ones you already sold by using the money you already spent?!?!?!?!

I am applauding right there with you.  Gave me a chance to be the number 1 in the studio last time they did the buying Skill Points Temple Mission.  It was nice being there when every other week I get studio members who far surpass me in time and resources.

 

And it is okay CaptC, I also prefer to be on top, but being on bottom can be fun sometimes too.

CaptC, is that informal list you link to up to date? Looking at it, I'm not seeing any that would fit the 'spend notes on SP' bill. It would be nice to have a list of all the challenges so people can sort of plan for them, like the sell gear one that fills everyone's inventory & storage space with epic and gold bordered gear until it finally comes.

that list only went back to april. The first "buy sp" temple was not until august (think august, but not looking it up in my notes atm)

My attempts at humor often backfire...  My sarcasm was pointing a finger at ME, Crystal. I have thousands of words written on how to succeed at temples.  (My teammates complain that I never use just one word, when 100 will do.)

My list differs from Analis' in a few places, so I may have made mistakes in my notes. I don't have Charisma missions between wk 30 buy skill points and wk 31 panda plushies. I have wk 33 as Charisma missions, whereas Analis has it as wk 34 Strength missions. The rest of my notes appear the same as Analis'.
